I'm sure my changes of winning are slim to none. I don't really know a damn anything about typography. ^^" But, I entered anyways. Though the shirt would be funny I am just aiming for the money.
I thought I would have enough for my drawing tablet I am trying to purchase but it turns out my source of income won't be that great this time around. The classes I needed to take are not offered in the summer semester which means I can't go full time this semester. Which also means my money is cut by a very noticeable amount for this semester. I did get into two classes thank goodness. An Adobe Flash class and a Photography/photoshop class. The only thing I'm not liking is the fact that one of my classes crosses with my work schedule meaning my paychecks are going to be smaller D=
My roommate (with his cut hours) and I are making enough money, for Rent, food, and bills but that is about it. Don't get me wrong I am very thankful for that. I just have no real source of extra income. I have been doing some personal commissions but trying to squeeze those in between school and work is a pain in behind.
That tablet would mean the world to me. I mean The one I have right now is fine it's just with the one I want I could get stuff done WAY quicker on my busy work/school schedule. I already Have 54 chapter fan comic layed out. I have characters for it and I have the first 30 pages sketched out and the two following chapter wrote out. But scanning, inking and toning takes alot of work and time with a stranded tablet. Animation would also be something I'd get into as well.
So even tho it is a long shot that I would even finish in the top 3 Your votes would be appreciated if y'all have the time
Even if I don't win it was not a waste of time because I could add this to my growing portfolio.
Lol I'm sure when I finally get into my typography class next year I'm going to look back on this and be like "Man I can do tons better now!"
